Affaire Jérôme Bandiaky : le frère de Doudou Kâ fixé sur son sort le…
The senior judge referred Jérôme Bandiaky and Sakory Kâ to the criminal court. The magistrate also dismissed the case against Bathie Bâ, another defendant in the case. Not satisfied, the prosecutor filed an appeal against the judge's order. "The appeal concerns Sakory Kâ," reports Les Échos, which provided the information.
The latter is the brother of former minister Doudou Kâ. He is being prosecuted for unauthorized possession of weapons and arms trafficking. Les Échos does not specify the reasons why the prosecutor rejected the senior judge's order concerning him.
Jérôme Bandiaky is the main defendant in this case. Nicknamed "Sniper" and described as a henchman of the Macky Sall regime, he allegedly played a central role in the repression of opponents during political protests between 2021 and 2024.
Bandiaky is being held in custody for illegal possession of weapons, unauthorized possession of ammunition, obtaining undue advantages, and fraud in the service. He denied these accusations to investigators and the investigating judge.
