AVCI GLOBAL Lance la Première Phase de Production de Vêtements LAZUMA dans l’une des Usines Textiles Intégrées les Plus Modernes d’Afrique de l’Ouest
Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Turkey, AVCI GLOBAL is an international investment firm operating in the construction, textile, and energy sectors. Present in Senegal for over 5–6 years, the company has completed numerous turnkey projects in the construction and finishing works sectors. As part of the Senegal 2050 vision, AVCI GLOBAL made the strategic decision to build one of the most modern integrated textile factories in West Africa.
Under the AVCI GLOBAL Textile banner, the plant will be developed in four phases. The first phase of the first stage (garment section) is currently nearing completion. The site is equipped with the latest generation of laying, cutting, knitting, weaving, and sewing machines, as well as fully automated production lines. The first test productions will begin on August 15, 2025.
In the first phase (manufacturing), 250 jobs will be created; by the start of the second phase, early next year, this figure will reach 750 jobs. Within 18 months, with the third phase, the garment unit alone from the first stage will generate 1,800 direct and indirect jobs.
Women's employment will be a major priority of this investment. The factory will particularly welcome young women interested in entering the textile sector. Employees will benefit from vocational training programs that meet international standards, covering modern manufacturing techniques, quality control, machine operation, and workplace safety.
AVCI GLOBAL Textile will produce in this factory:
• Clothing for men and women under its own brand LAZUMA,
• Uniforms for public institutions and the armed forces,
• School uniforms.
Once fully operational, the factory will become a regional distribution hub covering Senegal and neighboring countries. AVCI GLOBAL Textile / LAZUMA will offer exclusive franchise opportunities to regional wholesalers and distributors, providing them with a regular, reliable, high-quality supply at competitive prices—replacing lengthy imports and irregular supply chains.
The remaining stages of the project are expected to be implemented from the beginning of 2026. Once fully integrated, the spinning, weaving, dyeing and manufacturing processes will be brought together under one roof.
