Why cant the people of senegal understand that it is the whole world that is being affected by the high prices of gas, food, and the cost of living.. and what do you want your president wade to do ? he cannot do anything because it is not only happening in senegal, it is happening in Gambia your neighbouring country but do you see them strike for food or because prices of food are high ? NO ! yes we all know that the price of everything is going up what we have to do it have some understand and pray to god that the prices will come down starting with the Gas prices. Here in Canada/USA people are complaing about the high prices of everything the tax and so on yet they do understand that it is not the fault of there Government but something that is happening in the whole world. My advice is Stop the talking, Writing of all this articles about the high prices and the strikes And Work.
You gotta shut up man ! Thats bs if you saying that the actual situation in Senegal is because of high gas price, thats bulls*** The regime of Laye Wade which is incomptent has lead our country to a total disaster , crazy governement spending ,traveling all over the globe for stupid and unimportant things while the people are dying of hunger. The whole world now know that and his incompetent government is corrupted to the bone and they dont care about the well being of the people ...
For a small country like ours we have more than 40 ministers, aint that stupid ? We dont need all those positions, the governemnt need to reduce its spending and corruption gotta be fought in all levels starting with Laye Wade and his inner circle particularly Karim WADE his son who is called Mr 10% in Senegal because of his way of doing business and asking for 10% of all big govt projects to companies that want to be selected for the job.
There is no future for young men in Senegal and those young boat people that aren’t dying in the ocean trying to have a better life overseas are sinking into drugs or prostitution .
The people cant take it no more and those that are supposed to denunciate this corrupted system as the big holy families aren’t saying anything because they are corrupted as well.
In Eight years of power Mr Wade and his different governments received more foreign aid and monies that all the governments since our independence , can you imagine ?
Millions and millions of dollars spent not to built the country , but to boost the ego of a crazy man who pretends to solve world political issues like the Israel and Palestinian conflict while his own country is devasted by the rebellion in Casamance.
Laye Wade spent millions of dollars to buy a new plane , misapropriated the Taiwan Funds and other foreign aids to built his son new financial empire, changed the coustitution several times to fit his desire and has this crazy dream of making his incompetent son as the next president by corrupting every major political actor in our country even though he knows that could lead to civil war and unrests.
All national companies that were financially healthy are going bankrupt or privatized for the benefits of foreign companies resulting job loss by the thousands .
There is no development plans for the long run but just crazy and unfeasible projects like Goana that the old man that seems to live in a different planet creates and forget about months later.
We need some durable energetic programs like Wind energy , solar energy , we have the engineers the natural resources only is lacking the political will of a regime that still didn’t understand that we cannot rely on expensive and obsolete power stations unable to produce enough power.
People cant take it and the street is voicing its concerns everyday , pretty soon this regime will be driven away and will have to pay for its nonsense of eight years of dishonesty and mismanagement.
