Lycée Ndiawdoune (Saint-Louis) : Les voleurs défoncent les portes et pillent le bureau du proviseur
The Ndiawdoune High School in Saint-Louis was the target of a burglary last weekend. Several pieces of equipment were stolen from the school's administrative offices, including a photocopier, a printer, and a wall fan. The school's principal, Ibrahima Bâ, discovered the incident on Tuesday morning.
According to his statements, the criminals acted between Saturday and Sunday, taking advantage of the staff's absence over the weekend. "We left the school on Friday evening and it was only at 10 a.m. on Tuesday that we noticed the damage," he said. Upon arrival, officials found the main door of the administrative block smashed open, with broken padlocks strewn across the floor.
The principal's office was also forced open, with the criminals not hesitating to cut the ring of one of the padlocks to gain access. Once inside, they stole a Canon 25-20 photocopier, a Canon MF 13-10 printer, and a wall-mounted fan.
The gendarmerie was immediately alerted. An officer dispatched to the scene, named Mouchessar, carried out the usual inspections. In addition, the school inspectorate and the parents' association (APE) were informed. The president of the APE visited the scene with his team to offer their support and discuss measures to strengthen the security of the remaining equipment.
For the time being, an investigation has been opened to identify the perpetrators of this theft and to attempt to recover the objects taken.
