Jambaar TPM au SITL 2026, rendez-vous international du transport et de la logistique
The Jambaar TPM consortium, at the invitation of the Autonomous Port of Dakar, is participating in the Transport and Logistics Innovation Week (SITL 2026 – March 31 to April 2) which opened this Tuesday, March 31, 2026 in Paris.
This formal invitation demonstrates once again the desire of the Autonomous Port of Dakar to unite the community of port stakeholders around it and that of the Senegalese Government to highlight Jambaar, whose ambition is to be "a flagship project of the 2050 vision, i.e. a strategic partner of the new port policy put in place" by the central authorities under the direction of Wally Diouf Bodiang, Director General of the PAD.
The ambition of "Jambaar" is to modernize Pier 4, dedicated to general freight and bulk agricultural products. Jambaar is a "strategy for modernizing infrastructure, strengthening storage capacity, and integrating logistics solutions capable of improving the operational efficiency of a key terminal for the Senegalese economy."
Beyond infrastructure in Dakar, Jambaar TPM plans to establish maritime and river links to regional ports such as Kaolack and Ziguinchor, as well as to other platforms in West Africa. The deployment of barges to handle some of the shipments to the interior of the country is a key component of this strategy.
The concession contract was signed in December 2025 for a period of 25 years with a consortium comprising Conti-Lines Group, Port of Antwerp-Bruges International, Ership Grupo and AIG Marine & Terminal, with an investment of 85 million euros (100 million USD) for phase 1 of the project.
SITL 2026, whose theme is "Maritime routes, decarbonization, corridors: Europe facing the new global trade disorder", brings together every year all the decision-makers in transport, logistics and supply chain around the innovations and solutions that are transforming the sector.
For three days, manufacturers, distributors, transporters, e-commerce companies, local authorities and technology experts meet to accelerate their projects, identify new partners and decipher major market trends.
This edition aims to be a "comprehensive vision of the challenges: decarbonization, operational performance, digitalization, AI, robotics, multimodality, urban logistics... The place where the supply chain of tomorrow is being built."
Visitors to this important meeting include transport and logistics services, intralogistics, robotics and automation; packaging, conditioning and pallets; technologies, IoT and information systems; alternative energies; Cold Chain by Selfy; infrastructure and territories; real estate; transport equipment; consulting, training and financing.
This multi-sector trade fair brings together the entire transport and logistics chain and attracts visitors from a wide variety of sectors each year, reflecting the richness and complexity of the transport-logistics chain.
"It is within this dynamic that SITL 2026, the leading event for transport and logistics, dedicates its Maritime Day to the major decisions that structure maritime and multimodal competitiveness: how to secure supply chains, accelerate decarbonization from port to customer, and transform existing infrastructures (maritime, river, port interfaces) into solutions that are simpler to buy, more predictable and better connected to land."
Beyond the conference program, Maritime Day extends into the aisles of SITL 2026 with an offering that covers the entire maritime-port-multimodal chain: ports, shipowners, intermodal operators, digital port solutions, customs, and equipment. HAROPA PORT, the Port of Barcelona, the Port of Marseille Fos, Dunkirk-Port, the Autonomous Port of Dakar, and the Ports of Strasbourg illustrate the diversity of platforms and territories.
In 2025, the show had gathered 26,750 participants, plus 150 conferences, 540 speakers, and more than 3,400 business meetings.
