Commune de Pambal : Le maire Lazare Lamane Thiaw déféré par la SR de Thiès
The mayor of Pambal, in the Tivaouane department, Lazare Lamane Thiaw, was arrested in connection with a land dispute. Summoned this Thursday by the Thiès Research Section (SR), the mayor was immediately transferred to the Financial Judicial Pool in Dakar upon arrival, according to Seneweb sources.
This arrest follows an investigation conducted by the Thiès Regional Investigation Service (SR), on the instructions of the financial prosecutor. The mayor is allegedly involved in a case of breach of trust related to the sale of land. The estimated losses amount to several million CFA francs.
The case is now in the hands of the justice system, which will continue its investigations to determine the extent of its responsibilities.
