Diamaguène : Deux agresseurs, dont un handicapé arrêtés pour vol à l'arme blanche
The Diamaguène Sicap-Mbao police station arrested two assailants, one of whom is disabled, for conspiracy and armed robbery committed at night. They are Mr. Coulibaly, 25, a motorcycle mechanic residing in Diamaguène, and O. Ba, 34, a butcher residing in Sicap Mbao, who is disabled.
It all started with a complaint filed by Mr. MM Diouf. Around 3 a.m., he was waiting for a bus at the Diamaguène bus stop, near the livestock market, to go home to Patte d'Oie. Two individuals suddenly appeared. They threatened him with a knife before snatching his bag, which contained vehicle parts worth 220,000 CFA francs.
The investigation by the research brigade led to the location and arrest of the suspects. Taken to the police station, Mr. Coulibaly and O. Ba initially denied the charges. However, when confronted with the evidence, they eventually admitted to assaulting Mr. Diouf and snatching his bag, according to Seneweb sources. They continued, however, to deny having brandished a knife during the attack.
Charged with conspiracy and armed robbery committed at night, Mr. Coulibaly and O. Ba were brought before the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office on Wednesday.
