Diamaguène : Un Guinéen arrêté par la police avec du chanvre indien et du tramadol
During the night of January 8-9, 2025, officers from the Diamaguène Sicap-Mbao district police station's investigation unit arrested a Guinean national for trafficking cannabis and tramadol. The suspect was brought before the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court on Friday.
This arrest follows a tip-off about a cannabis and tramadol trafficking network operating between Diamaguène and Thiaroye. Investigations by the research brigade and the collaboration of their informant led them to the trafficker. The arrest took place near the Fallou Warga bridge, which provides access to the TER (Regional Express Train).
The suspect, identified as I. Diallo, a 20-year-old Guinean national, claiming to be a dockworker and residing in Tally Diallo, was caught in the act of possessing narcotics.
At the time of his arrest, I. Diallo was in possession of 17 sachets of Indian hemp worth 1,000 CFA francs each, one sachet of Indian hemp worth 2,500 CFA francs, two tramadol tablets and a sum of 3,000 CFA francs, probably from the sale of drugs.
All the narcotics and money were seized by law enforcement and placed under seal to constitute evidence in the judicial proceedings.
At the conclusion of the investigation, I. Diallo was brought before the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court on Friday, where he will have to answer for his actions in drug trafficking and possession of illicit medicines.
