Rufisque : Un Guinéen de 16 ans arrêté avec trois capsules de cocaïne
The Urban Security Unit of the Rufisque Central Police Station brought before the court on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, a 16-year-old Guinean national caught in the act of possessing cocaine at the Djoutiba roundabout.
AKFofana, aged 16, presenting himself as a painter and residing in Ngor, was arrested by members of the research brigade following an anonymous tip.
Police received a tip about a possible drug delivery at the Djoutiba roundabout. A stakeout was set up near the location. Moments later, a swift and coordinated operation by law enforcement led to the suspect's arrest.
Knowing he was trapped, the suspect tried to get rid of the substance he was carrying by attempting to throw it on the ground. Fortunately, the police remained vigilant and monitored his every move.
They caught him as he reached into his pocket. At that moment, they discovered three capsules of cocaine wrapped in aluminum foil that he was holding. The minor was immediately taken to the station.
When questioned briefly, the suspect refused to cooperate. He claimed not to know the person who allegedly gave him the drugs, nor their address or contact information.
After being informed of his rights, AKHFofana was taken into custody for offering and supplying drugs. The three capsules of cocaine discovered during his arrest were confiscated by the police for the purposes of the investigation.
