CAN 2025 : le Cameroun enregistre deux forfaits et ajuste sa liste
With less than two weeks to go before the start of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco (December 21 – January 18), the Cameroonian national team is already facing unforeseen challenges. Released amidst strong criticism, the first squad list for the Indomitable Lions has suffered two significant withdrawals.
In an official statement, Thierry Ndoh, the national team's press officer, announced injuries to Brice Ambina (Vålerenga) and central defender Jean-Charles Castelletto (Al-Duhail). To compensate for these absences, the coaching staff has made two substitutions.
Castelletto is replaced by Che Fondoh Malone (26 years old, USM Alger), who makes an unexpected return to the national team. Having previously played for Coton Sport de Garoua, the defender has only one cap, earned in the friendly match against Jamaica on November 9, 2022 (1-1), before being called up for the 2023 CHAN with the A' team.
To replace Brice Ambina, new national team coach David Pagou has opted for Arnold Mael Kamdem, a midfielder playing for Peñarol AC in the Brazilian sixth division. This choice has already sparked surprise and incomprehension among many observers, given the player's level of competition.
Despite these last-minute adjustments, Cameroon calmly continues its preparation, hoping to present a competitive group for the final phase.

6ème division c’est une blague ou quoi. La coupe c’est pour le pays organisateur. J’espère que certaine équipe ne vont pas nous foutre la honte.
