Bénin : Les nouveaux maires de Porto-Novo, Cotonou et Parakou, élus
On Sunday, February 15, 2026, the elected officials of the Cotonou municipality officially took office. This occurred during the inaugural session of the municipal council. They elected Luc Gnacadja as mayor of Cotonou.
The former minister will be assisted by Arlette Saizonou (first deputy) and Gatien Adjagboni (second deputy).
Rachadou Toukourou, the new mayor of Porto-Novo
In Porto-Novo, Rachadou Toukourou was elected mayor. He replaces Charlemagne Yankoty, who is now a member of the National Assembly. François Ahlonsou was appointed first deputy mayor. Paul Hèdokingbé and Gertrude Nadia Dossa were appointed second and third deputy mayors, respectively.
In Parakou, Zul-Kifly Zakarie was chosen for the position of mayor.
