Cancer du sein : Le dépistage ne saurait être un acte de peur
"Screening is not an act of fear, but of courage. It is the first step towards defeating cancer." This conviction was widely shared during a two-day Forum on Health, Digitalization, and Women's Entrepreneurship in Thiès, focusing on the fight against breast cancer, as part of Pink October.
An initiative that brought together healthcare professionals, local authorities, women's associations, young entrepreneurs, and volunteers around a common goal: to promote women's health, autonomy, and leadership. The forum opened an important chapter on digitalization and female entrepreneurship, with the aim of promoting sustainable empowerment.
Training workshops enabled participants to acquire skills in the use of digital tools, project management, digital marketing, and business creation. They remain convinced that "Senegalese women today must be both aware of their health and active participants in their economic development."
This was an opportunity for the Mayor of Thiès, Dr. Babacar Diop, to reiterate that women's health is a priority for local development. Hence the strong mobilization for their well-being and empowerment.

C'est bête de mourir, en laissant des orphelins, d'une maladie qui peut être soignée si elle est dépistée à temps. Il faut vraiment que des dépistages réguliers entrent dans les mœurs.
