Burkina Faso : Destruction de 88 600 poussins et d’une tonne d’aliments pour volaille
The Ministry of Agriculture, through the General Directorate of Veterinary Services, proceeded, on August 26, 2025, to the destruction of 88,600 chicks and one ton of poultry feed seized in Ouagadougou.
Illegally introduced from a neighboring country affected by highly pathogenic avian influenza, these products lacked any health documentation. Authorities emphasize that such imports pose a major risk to public health and local livestock production.
