Burkina Faso : Huile moteur contrefaite estimée à 60 millions de F CFA saisie
The National Coordination for the Fight Against Fraud (CNLF) intercepted a large quantity of counterfeit motor oil in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso).
The operation was carried out following a tip-off. Analyses show that the oil, presented as a Total Énergie brand product, is of significantly inferior quality, containing dust, which makes it dangerous for engines.
The institution emphasizes that this type of fraud constitutes unfair competition, harms the environment and damages the national economy.
