Burkina Faso : Des enquêtes révèlent des cas de corruption, détournement de biens publics, faux et usage de faux...

The spokesperson for the Steering Committee of the Malfunctions Regulation Commission (KORAG) presented an initial assessment of its activities to RTB on September 25, 2025. In nine months, nearly a hundred cases have been investigated, revealing cases of corruption, misappropriation of public funds, forgery and use of forged documents, unfair dismissals, and abuse of power.

The investigations involve various public officials, including magistrates, health workers, customs officials, and even former ministers suspected of money laundering and illicit enrichment. Particular emphasis has been placed on diploma fraud: out of approximately 6,000 documents checked in several ministries, several were found to be inauthentic, leading to revocations and legal proceedings.

Captain Sorgho reiterated that these abuses weaken an administration already weakened by the security situation. He urged citizens to report any suspicious practices and assured that cases would result in administrative and judicial sanctions.
