Burkina Faso : Les personnes ayant un revenu supérieur ou égal à 360 000 F ne sont pas éligibles aux logements sociaux
The Council of Ministers, chaired by Captain Ibrahim Traoré, adopted a decree setting out the eligibility requirements and the procedure for accessing social housing. From now on, construction will be primarily high-rise, with villas remaining the exception. Eligible applicants are those with an income of less than 360,000 CFA francs (eight times the minimum wage).
Access will be possible through rental, lease-purchase, or free allocation for the indigent and wards of the State. Current beneficiaries and subletting are excluded. A digital platform will ensure transparency, and a joint decree will specify the costs and terms.
