Burkina Faso : Six agents ivoiriens interpellés au cœur de discussions diplomatiques
Six agents of the Directorate of Rural Development and Agriculture (DARA) of Côte d'Ivoire, arrested on August 24, 2025 in Burkina Faso, are still being detained.
The Ivorian government confirmed the information on September 17 and indicated that discreet negotiations are underway with Ouagadougou for their release. According to spokesman Amadou Coulibaly, Abidjan is favoring diplomatic channels, while calling on the agents' families to maintain confidence in the state.
The six officers were conducting a census of displaced families at the time of their arrest.
