Burkina Faso : Le gouvernement rejette un rapport de Human Rights Watch sur les droits humains

The government of Burkina Faso strongly contested a report published on April 2, 2026 by Human Rights Watch on the human rights situation, calling it "false" and "unfounded".

In a statement, the authorities denounced a document which they said was based on unverified allegations and questionable methodology, accusing the NGO of being out of touch with the realities on the ground and of fueling a disinformation campaign.

The government believes that this report aims to discredit the defense forces engaged in the fight against terrorism and reaffirms its commitment to conducting this fight in compliance with national laws and international human rights obligations.

He finally stated that he was determined to continue his efforts for the security and sovereignty of the country, while reserving the right to react to any attempt at destabilization.

Mais oui, on connait les gens qui habitent dans ces pays ou qui ont migré chez nous. Dakar abrite des dizaines de milliers de citoyens de l'AES. Eux nous disent la vérité, donc IB tais toi !

Vous n'êtes pas encore attaqués par les terroristes pour savoir que les droits humains ne peuvent servir de référence pour les combattre. Et qu'est-ce qu'ils disent des autres qui kidnappent un Président ou bombardent des pays comme ils veulent?😂
