This is certainly not good news for fans of Malian singer Sidiki Diabaté. The artist's concert scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Félix Houphouët Boigny stadium in Abidjan has been canceled.
In a letter, the director of the National Sports Office (ONS) clearly informed the manager of the singer, Ms. Djélika Diabaté, that the stadium was unavailable on the requested date.
“I regret to inform you that the stadium…”
"As indicated during the meeting with my competent services on Friday, September 19, 2025, I regret to inform you that the Félix Houphouët Boigny stadium is unavailable on the date requested for your event," wrote ONS CEO Ousmane Gbané in his letter.
The concert is therefore canceled. Sidiki Diabaté's team will have to find another date for the event.
Recall that presidential elections are scheduled for October 25, 2025, in Ivory Coast. This concert may have been canceled because it was going to be held during the election period. At least, that's what some Ivorian internet users believe.
