Côte d’Ivoire : Simone Ehivet Gbagbo descend en flammes Robert Bourgi après...

A guest on the YouTube channel "Décrypter l'Afrique" a few days ago, Robert Bourgi called on Simone Ehivet Gbagbo to abandon her candidacy for the October 2025 presidential election in Côte d'Ivoire. He believes that she must show solidarity with those who failed to qualify, in this case Laurent Gbagbo, Tidjane Thiam and Pascal Affi N'Guessan.

"I think Mr. Robert Bourgi has a lot of nerve to say what he said there."

During an interview with the same media yesterday Tuesday, the former First Lady of Côte d'Ivoire delivered a strong response to the Franco-Lebanese lawyer.

"I think Mr. Robert Bourgi has a lot of nerve to say what he did. I would have liked him to have been as committed at the time, when France was shooting at his friend Laurent Gbagbo. I would have liked that. He didn't have the courage at that time. He was even a supporter of those who were shooting. He accompanied the French ministers here in Côte d'Ivoire to organize the attack on the presidency, on the presidential palace," Simone Gbagbo charged.

"He just has to leave us alone."

Clearly, the head of the Movement of Capable Generations (MGC) does not intend to take any lessons from this symbol of Françafrique.

"Today, he sits down and says to me: 'Simone, withdraw your candidacy.' I think he's really bold. That said, he has the right to his opinion, but he's not a voter in Côte d'Ivoire. He should just leave us alone," said the presidential candidate for next October.
