Dakar, poumon du Sénégal : 46 % du PIB avec 8 567 milliards FCFA
According to the Note on Senegal's regional accounts, published this Wednesday by the National Agency of Statistics and Demography (ANSD), the Dakar region dominates the national economy, representing 46% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) with 8,567.7 billion FCFA.
This predominance is explained by the high concentration of economic units in the capital. In 2023, the national GDP, based on 2014, amounts to 18,619.5 billion FCFA, revealing marked disparities between regions, with Dakar in the lead.

Dakar est le cancer du Senegal,la tumeur ki s’accapare des ressources des autres regions.
Toujours préciser : Dakar représente 0,3% du territoire national.
Il faut décongestionner Dakar en créant une nouvelle ville ou capitale et en créant une zone industrielle sous taxée à Kaolack.
Posons nous la question : le pôle urbain de Diamniadio est-il en train de remplir sa vocation et d'atteindre ses objectifs ?

En tout je préfère vivre à DAGANA, BOKIDIAWE, KOUSSANAR , LINGUERE , etc. qu'à DAKAR
