Before leaving the Chancellery, Ousmane Diagne announced that he had sent a letter to the Attorney General at the Dakar Court of Appeal asking him to initiate proceedings for crimes committed during political demonstrations between 2023 and 2024. Things are starting to move.

Indeed, Pape Abdoulaye Touré has been summoned by the Research Section of the Colobane gendarmerie, according to the Zero Impunity Initiative (IZI), of which he is the founder. He will be, according to the same source, "the first victim to be questioned."

In September 2024, Mr. Touré had already filed a complaint against Antoine Diome, Pape Malick Ndour, and General Moussa Fall. He is suing them for kidnapping, illegal abduction, acts of torture and complicity in torture, inhuman, cruel, and degrading treatment, and assault and battery, among other charges.

Mes RESPECTS à Mr TOURÉ PAPE , qui a vraiment subi cette TORTURE , et cette ATROCITÉ , avec plusieurs autres VICTIMES .
Ne lâches rien , nous sommes de tout cœur avec vous .
JUSTICE pour toutes les VICTIMES INNOCENTES , vivantes , et décédées . Une bien TRISTE et HORRIBLE RÉALITÉ MALHEUREUSEMENT
