Éducation : l’UDEN dénonce les lenteurs administratives et exige des mesures urgentes
The Democratic Union of Teachers of Senegal (UDEN) is sounding the alarm about the delays hampering the management of the education sector.
In an opening statement published on September 9, 2025, the Uden denounced "the administrative delays that are hampering the management of the education and training sector." Two points, namely the revision of the status of decision-making teachers and the publication of administrative acts, particularly crystallize their concerns.
For the UDEN, this situation is "intolerable, reflecting a lack of consideration for issues essential to the stability of the education system." The union believes that the current blockades "penalize teachers and risk causing serious disruptions as soon as the school year begins."
In view of this observation, the organization demands immediate action from the government: "the immediate signing of the decree revising the status of decision-makers and "the immediate publication of teachers' administrative acts."
