Élection présidentielle: Ouverture des bureaux de vote à l'Ambassade de Côte d'Ivoire au Sénégal
Ivorians residing in Senegal began voting this Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Embassy of Côte d'Ivoire in Dakar, as part of the presidential election. The four polling stations set up there opened their doors at 8 a.m. without any reported incidents, according to initial reports from voters.
Five candidates are in the running for this decisive election: the outgoing president Alassane Ouattara, who is seeking a fourth term, Jean-Louis Billon, Simone Ehivet Gbagbo, Ahoua Don Mello and Henriette Lagou.
The Ivory Coast ambassador to Senegal is expected in the morning to fulfill his civic duty before addressing the press on the progress of the vote.
This election, closely followed by the Ivorian diaspora, marks a key moment for the political future of Côte d'Ivoire.
