The president of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Félix Tshisekedi, on Monday accused Rwanda of "violating its commitments," just days after the heads of state of the two neighboring countries endorsed in Washington an agreement intended to end the conflict in eastern Congo.
"It is clear that Rwanda is already violating its commitments," Mr. Tshisekedi denounced in a speech to the nation delivered from the Parliament building in the capital Kinshasa, referring to attacks carried out by Rwandan troops in several localities in the province of South Kivu in recent days.
