Guerre au Soudan : l'ambassadeur à Dakar dénonce une «agression étrangère» menée par ...
In an interview with the newspaper Le Soleil, Sudanese Ambassador to Dakar Abdelghani Elnaim Abdallah described the war tearing his country apart as a "foreign aggression" led by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. According to the diplomat, the goal of this aggression is clear: "to threaten the sovereignty of the country committed to defending its security and its people" and to seize its wealth.
The national daily's source, however, provided reassuring news about the security situation, announcing that the Sudanese army had "succeeded in curbing a foreign invasion" and regaining control of the capital, Khartoum. Only a few areas of Darfur and Kordofan remain under the control of the militias.
He also praised the work of the new Prime Minister, Kamel Idris, who has already begun working on a reconstruction program, particularly for the capital.
