Guinée : Le président Doumbouya accepte la démission du Premier ministre Bah Oury et de son gouvernement
The President of the Republic, Lieutenant General Mamadi Doumbouya, accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Bah Oury and his entire government on Monday. The announcement was made through an official statement issued by the Presidency.
In this statement, the Head of State first expressed his gratitude to the foreign Heads of State and representatives of international organizations who attended his inauguration, held the same day at the General Lansana Conté Stadium in Nongo. He also thanked the people of Guinea for their massive and exemplary turnout at the ceremony.
President Doumbouya recalled that this resignation is in accordance with republican customs, thus marking a new beginning after the presidential election of December 28, 2025, which, according to him, took place "in calm and in a festive atmosphere".
He then congratulated Prime Minister Bah Oury and his entire government team for the missions accomplished in service to the nation, stressing that these functions constitute "an honor, but above all a commitment to the service of the people of Guinea".
