Guinée : Viol de quatre fillettes à Kindia, l'accusé filmait les scènes
A rape case of exceptional gravity is shaking the sub-prefecture of Kolenté, which falls under the prefecture of Kindia, in Guinea.
A young man in his twenties is accused of abusing four girls aged between 7 and 10. The suspect allegedly asked the victims to film the acts using his mobile phone.
According to Maciré Touré, president of the NGO Femme Aussi and of the group fighting against gender-based violence (GBV), the group intercepted the young man (aged 24 to 25) a few days ago. The NGO has witness statements and videos of the incident and has forwarded the case to the authorities.
Upon receiving the information, the VBG group took the girls to the hospital for urgent care. The forensic doctor confirmed that these were indeed cases of rape. Maciré Touré emphasized that these children, being so young, cannot legally consent to such acts.
This case highlights the recurring problem of sexual violence in Kindia. The president of the NGO emphasized that these girls were street vendors (selling water, bananas, chewing gum), thus exposed to terrible dangers for a paltry wage.
Maciré Touré made a passionate appeal to the responsibility of parents and the entire community, urging them to watch over children and work together to curb these "despicable" acts that jeopardize the future of youth.
The case is now in the hands of an investigating judge.
