Guinée : La Cour suprême valide la nouvelle Constitution malgré les recours de l’opposition
The Supreme Court of Guinea announced this Friday evening the official validation of the new Constitution, marking a decisive step in the political process initiated in recent months. Meeting in plenary session, the judges confirmed the conformity of the text adopted by referendum with the legal provisions in force.
This decision now paves the way for the implementation of the new institutions provided for in the Basic Law. According to the high court, the appeals filed by certain protesting parties were examined but deemed inadmissible or unfounded. "The Supreme Court, after deliberations, validates the Constitution resulting from the referendum," declared the president of the institution, thus sealing the legal debate surrounding the text. For the government, this validation constitutes an institutional victory and a major step towards what it calls the "refoundation of the State."
The opposition and part of civil society, however, continue to denounce a process deemed rushed and non-consensual. The new Constitution, now promulgated, should come into force in the coming days, opening a new chapter in Guinean political life.

Toute constitution est bonne dès l'instant qu'elle n'autorise pas au Président de la République de faire plus de 2 mandats consécutifs.
