Guinée - Présidentielle 2025 : Pour Faya Millimono, Mamadi Doumbouya “n’a aucune majorité”
The Liberal Bloc (BL) candidate, Faya Millimono, strongly criticized the outgoing president, Mamadi Doumbouya, following the presidential election of December 28, 2025. Interviewed this Monday, December 29, the liberal leader declared that the head of state “has no majority in Guinea”.
“Mamadi Doumbouya has no majority in Guinea. The proof is that he didn’t even leave his palace to campaign. He has nothing to say to the Guineans. He has no plan for Guinea,” Faya Millimono told the press.
According to him, the Simandou project, presented by the government as an engine of growth, has turned into a disappointment. “They promised paradise through the Simandou project. But of the sixty thousand jobs temporarily created during the construction of the railways, forty-five thousand have vanished. It has become a nightmare for Guineans,” he added.
In a joint statement, the Liberal Bloc and its allies denounced “serious irregularities” that allegedly marred the election. “Contrary to the fundamental principles of free, transparent and credible elections, this election was marked by fraudulent, systematic, organized practices carried out by administrative, electoral and security authorities,” they stated.
Opposition parties also claim that their delegates and observers were prevented from carrying out their duties “in most polling stations and centralizing commissions”.
“This deliberate obstruction was clearly aimed at removing the electoral process from any independent control,” they denounce.
