Il les sodomise et les tue : L’effrayante histoire d’un marabout "serial Killer" nigérien
In Niger, the Attorney General at the Niamey Court of Appeal, Maazou Oumarou, announced on Monday the arrest of a marabout named Mahamadou Noura in Dosso. This follows an investigation by the judicial police into the assassination attempt against Mr. Ibrahim Ousseini in the Sorey Bené neighborhood on July 29.
Mr. Noura reportedly admitted to being the perpetrator of this assassination attempt and many other murders.
He lures them, drugs them, ties them up and sodomizes them.
He confessed to killing Issoufou Ahmed, Abdoul Nasser, Ousmane Rachid Samber, Mohamed Ali, and two others. According to prosecutor Maazou Oumarou, investigations established that the marabout drugged and sodomized his victims before killing them.
The killings are carried out either by strangulation or by throat-slitting. These murders are committed as part of alleged rituals involving several accomplices who have already been arrested and questioned.

For the Attorney General at the Niamey Court of Appeal, the facts are serious. The investigation must therefore be conducted with "rigor and sincerity. The prosecution remains determined to ensure that all light is shed on the matter and that the rights of each of the victims and those accused are fully respected."
