"Il mange la chair humaine à la demande de ses génies" : La police ivoirienne arrête un présumé cannibale
In Ivory Coast, the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI) has arrested a suspected flesh-eating criminal, according to the country's media.
The man designated by the initials PS, is a farmer living in the Kotoh district of Méagui, a locality in the Bas-Sassandra district (South-West of the country).
He told them that he still had his victim's head.
His arrest is the culmination of an investigation opened by the BRI following the discovery of the headless body of the unfortunate Achi Assi Gérard Armel in the small town of Ambroisekro on July 24, 2025.
According to the newspaper Fraternité Matin, P.S. confessed in the face of evidence presented by the BRI. He also told them that he still had his victim's head.
The police therefore went to his home and discovered the skull of Achi Assi Gérard Armel and another victim who was believed to be from Vavoua.
In another disturbing confession, PS told investigators that he had consumed the flesh of his victims. His spirits allegedly instructed him to do so.
