Immigration irrégulière : retour volontaire de 132 migrants guinéens en provenance de Tunisie
The operation to voluntarily return Guineans stranded in Tunisia continues. A new plane carrying 132 compatriots landed this Monday at Ahmed Sékou Touré International Airport in Conakry, marking a new step in this humanitarian process initiated by the Guinean authorities.
This operation is being conducted by the government of the Republic of Guinea, in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Upon arrival, the migrants were received by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, and Guineans Living Abroad.
These officials, on behalf of the minister, reaffirmed the State's commitment to supporting these citizens in their socio-economic reintegration, through training and employment support programs.
In recent months, many Guinean migrants have chosen to return voluntarily, faced with the difficult conditions in some host countries. In less than two months, more than 250 Guineans have returned to their homeland thanks to this joint initiative between Guinea and the IOM.
