Cacao ivoirien : La campagne de commercialisation atteint sa vitesse de croisière, les prévisions de production pour fin mars 2026
In Côte d'Ivoire, the cocoa sector is thriving. The 2025-2026 marketing campaign, launched on October 1st, is already yielding very encouraging results. Indeed, the government daily newspaper, "Fraternité Matin," reports that nearly one million tons of cocoa beans have already been purchased from farmers and shipped to the country's ports. This represents 70% of the production forecast for the end of March 2026.
Producers pocketed over 2,800 billion CFA francs
These production forecasts are estimated at around 1.4 million tonnes by the Coffee and Cocoa Council and the Industrialists' Council.
To date, cocoa producers have already pocketed more than 2,800 billion CFA francs.
Note that the farmgate price of a kilo of cocoa is set this year at 2,800 CFA francs.
The government is ensuring compliance with this price. According to "Fraternité Matin", more than a dozen people were arrested between November and December and convicted for buying cocoa beans below the official price.
