Madagascar : Les futurs ministres vont passer au détecteur de mensonge
This is quite unprecedented! In Madagascar, the head of the ruling junta, Colonel Michael Randrianirina, announced that he would be giving lie detector tests to future government ministers to verify their integrity.
"If we reach 60% honest people in the government, Madagascar can change."
"Thanks to this device we will see who is corrupt and who can help us. Those who are likely to betray the movement led by the youth and those who are not likely to betray them. We need honest collaborators, perhaps not 100% honest, but if we reach 60% honest people in the government, Madagascar can change," said the Malagasy president.
The coup leader fully intends to use this polygraph, which he reportedly discovered during his visit to Russia last month.
According to TV5 Monde, the device is already in Antananarivo, as are the Russian experts who know how to use it.
Colonel Michael Randrianirina is waiting to put these future ministers through their paces before forming the next government.
The device would detect stress more than the lie itself.
It's worth remembering that the polygraph is used by Russian and American intelligence services. It measures physiological responses—breathing, heart rate, perspiration, and blood pressure—during an interrogation. Its effectiveness is debated. According to scientists, it detects stress more effectively than outright lies.
