Mali: Two young men killed after forcing their way through checkpoints in Bamako

The General Staff of the Malian Armed Forces announced that two young men riding a motorcycle were fatally injured on May 28, 2026 after forcing their way through several checkpoints in Bamako, notably in front of the ORTM.

According to the army, the occupants of the motorcycle did not comply with warning shots, prompting officers to fire back. Taken to the hospital, the two young men succumbed to their injuries. An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances of the incident.

Military authorities have called on users to respect checkpoints and submit to controls in order to avoid such tragedies.

Trop léger ? Dans u' contexte d'insécurité comme au Mali, tu valides que des jeunes circulant à moto (le moyen de déplacement privilégié des djihaddites) punissent tranquillement violer les chek points ? Dis nous pourquoi ?
