Mali : restrictions sur les motos de grosse cylindrée pour des raisons sécuritaires
Malian authorities have decided to suspend the circulation of motorcycles with an engine capacity of 125cc and above outside the country's main urban centers, as part of the fight against armed terrorist groups.
According to a government decree broadcast on national television, this measure also includes the suspension of the importation, transit, marketing, sale and free distribution of certain categories of motorcycles.
The authorities justify this decision by citing the frequent use of these devices by terrorist groups during their operations. However, exceptions are planned for Bamako, regional capitals, and certain urban areas.
