Mali : Un oiseau de mauvais augure français appelé Bruno Fuchs

This is a rather peremptory viewpoint. According to French MP Bruno Fuchs, "the Malian junta has only a few days, a few weeks left. Today, it is in a position of weakness vis-à-vis the FLA and JNIM. In a few weeks, a few months, the regime will change." He absolutely does not see the military in power in Bamako winning the war against terrorism. This is hardly surprising coming from a French parliamentarian.

Paris has never truly come to terms with its departure from Mali. To this day, the Élysée Palace continues to believe that Bamako would be better off if the French armed forces had remained. The Russians, therefore, are not considered providential allies. Moreover, they are reportedly already considering withdrawing.

"The Russians are negotiating their departure (from Mali), contrary to what they say."

Indeed, according to this centrist member of parliament, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the French Parliament, "the Russians are negotiating their departure (from Mali), contrary to what they say." The military in power would therefore have an interest in opening a dialogue with JNIM and the FLA.

"If President Goita is reasonable, he will open negotiations and there will be a transition period of 3 to 6 months, with one of the military members of the Transition who would not be Goita, and who will lead the country until the elections," the parliamentarian affirms, with all the paternalism that the sovereignists of the AES despise.

JNIM does not "want to take control of Mali, but to participate in political life"

He will even go so far as to suggest the integration of JNIM and FLA into the governance of Mali, after these hypothetical elections.

According to him, JNIM "doesn't want to take control of Mali, but to participate in political life. It would cease its armed struggle on the condition of participating in the country's political life," the MP asserts. These are rather serious statements, given that JNIM is not waging any armed struggle and is, in fact, a terrorist organization that sows fear and death in Mali.
