Mbour : Quatre Somaliens interpellés pour séjour irrégulier
The Diamaguène police station in Mbour arrested four Somali nationals in an irregular situation on 27 August 2025.
The operation was launched following information indicating the suspicious presence of several individuals in a house in the Espagne district.
Dispatched to the scene, the search brigade discovered three women and a man, all of Somali nationality.
During their hearing, they claimed to have fled war and violence in Somalia. According to their statements, they traveled through Kenya, Togo, and Gambia before reaching Senegal by bus. Their goal, they say, is to seek protection from the United Nations and obtain refugee status.
Following the preliminary investigation, the four migrants were brought before the public prosecutor for illegal residence.
