Niger : Tiani a-t-il sollicité l’aide du Bénin pour escorter un convoi stratégique vers Niamey ?
According to information reported by the Beninese newspaper Le Matinal, the President of Niger, General Abdourahmane Tiani, has requested Benin to escort a strategic convoy of confidential equipment towards Niger.
Cotonou reportedly complied with the request of the Nigerien coup leader on Thursday, March 5, by ordering a unit of the Beninese Armed Forces to secure the valuable cargo that transited through Lomé in Togo.
According to the newspaper Le Matinal, this is the second time in two months that General Tiani has asked Benin for the transport of equipment destined for Niger.
