Niger : Dissolution du Syndicat autonome des magistrats
The Nigerien government dissolved the Autonomous Union of Magistrates of Niger (SAMAN) by decree dated August 7, 2025. Signed by the Minister of State for the Interior and Security, General Mohamed Toumba, the decree now prohibits all activities of this organization.
The decision, based on Articles 25 and 26 of Ordinance No. 84-06 of March 1, 1984 relating to the association regime, will be published in the Official Journal.
As a reminder, SAMAN observed a 72-hour strike at the beginning of July to denounce the interference of the executive branch in judicial affairs.
