Portugal : La situation se décante pour les étudiants bissau-guinéens bloqués à l’aéroport de Lisbonne
Yesterday, Monday, September 1, 2025, more than thirty students from Guinea-Bissau were detained at Lisbon's Humberto Delgado Airport due to "the lack of supporting documents concerning the purpose and conditions of their stay" in Portugal. The authorities also cited "insufficient means of subsistence and/or the absence of proof of accommodation compatible with the planned duration of their stay."
This Tuesday morning, the newspaper "Diaro de Noticias" announced that these students were finally allowed to enter the country, except for one.
In fact, according to a statement from the Portuguese police, "it has been possible to confirm that the citizens in question are enrolled in Portuguese higher education institutions."
The decision to refuse entry is therefore revoked, all legal conditions having been met.
