On the evening of Thursday, November 13, 2025, the President of the Transition, General Mamadi Doumbouya, issued a decree convening the electorate for the presidential election of December 28, 2025. This decision comes the day after the Supreme Court validated the final list of nine candidates authorized to run.

The decree read on national television specifies that voting operations will begin at 7:00 a.m. and end at 6:00 p.m., and that the vote will be conducted using a single ballot, a system designed to enhance the transparency and clarity of the vote.
