The president of Guinea's transitional government, General Mamadi Doumbouya, won the presidential election on Sunday, December 28th, by a landslide. The former legionnaire garnered 86.72% of the votes cast, leaving only crumbs for his challengers. Some of them failed to even secure 1% of the vote.
These are Ibrahima Abé Sylla of New Generation for the Republic (0.87%), Mohamed Nabé of the Alliance for Renewal and Progress (0.83%), Abdoulaye Kourouma of the Rally for Renaissance and Development (0.56%), El Hadj Bouna Keita of the Rally for a Prosperous Guinea (0.52%), and Mohamed Chérif Tounkara of MST Renewal (0.28%). Their scores are the lowest in the election.

He is closely followed by Dr. Faya Lansana Millimono of the Liberal Bloc (2.04%) and Hadja Makalé Camara of the Front for National Alternation (1.59%).
