Présidentielle 2025 : Mamadi Doumbouya élu président de la République dès le premier tour
CONAKRY – The provisional results of the presidential election of December 28, 2025 were officially announced this Tuesday, December 30, live on national television (RTG) from 10 p.m.
According to the proclamation, General Mamadi Doumbouya was elected President of the Republic of Guinea in the first round, with 4,594,262 votes, or 86.72% of the votes cast.
This overwhelming victory confirms the triumph of the transitional president, supported by a broad political and social coalition across the country.
In several districts of Conakry and in the interior of the country, scenes of jubilation broke out immediately after the announcement of the results.
The other candidates are far behind. Some of them have already announced their intention to contest the results, citing irregularities in certain constituencies.
The December 28th election was generally peaceful, according to national observers, despite a few isolated incidents reported.
The Constitutional Court is now expected to proclaim the final results, which will either confirm or overturn this first-round victory.
