Référendum 2025 en Guinée : Le Oui en tête avec plus de 90 % des suffrages provisoires
The constitutional referendum to be held this Sunday, September 21, 2025, in Guinea is heading toward a landslide victory in favor of the "Yes" vote. According to provisional results released this Monday by the Director General of Elections (DGE), the "Yes" vote has garnered more than 90% of the vote, based on more than 91% of the polling stations already counted.
A strong lead for the Yes vote
Out of a total of 23,662 polling stations, the DGE indicates that 19,454 were counted and validated, or 91.4%.
The partial figures give the following results:
• Registered voters: 6,768,458
• Number of voters: 4,825,292
• Yes: 4,319,466 votes (90.6%)
• No: 450,438 votes (9.4%)
A major political issue
With these provisional results, the Yes vote appears to be the clear winner of this popular consultation. The vote, which was intended to allow Guineans to decide on a new constitution, mobilized more than 4.8 million voters across the country at 16,722 polling stations.
The DGE is continuing to centralize and validate the minutes with a view to publishing the final results. These should confirm or adjust current trends.
