After collapsing in the middle of President Embalo's speech, the Prime Minister of Guinea-Bissau has recovered. Braima Camara was rushed to Dakar, where he was treated at the Principal Hospital. After completing his convalescence, he was received by the Head of State, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, on Monday. He thanked the Senegalese authorities.
“I express our gratitude for the support of the Senegalese government through His Excellency, President Diomaye Faye, his Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko and the entire medical staff at the Dakar Main Hospital. As you know, I felt unwell in Bissau, but thanks to the availability and commitment of the Senegalese government, today, thank God, I am in good shape,” assured the head of the Guinea-Bissau government after the audience.
Ready to assume his duties, he assured that he and his president will continue to intensify the level of cooperation with Senegal: “We will do everything to continue this relationship as pan-Africanists, working hand in hand to continue this cooperation and ensure the stability of our two brother countries,” he said.
