Tchad : au moins 42 morts dans des violences intercommunautaires
The president of Chad, Mahamat Idriss Déby, announced a death toll of at least 42 following intercommunal violence in the Wadi Fira region.
Local sources suggest the number of victims could reach 60.
The head of state accuses the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces of exporting their conflict to Chad and calls for the maintenance of social cohesion, under penalty of sanctions.
