Tchad : N’Djamena ferme ses frontières avec le Soudan après des frappes de drones
Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno ordered the total closure of borders with Sudan and placed the army on maximum alert, following drone strikes targeting Chad, causing casualties and material damage.
Faced with this serious situation, an emergency Defense Council meeting was convened in N'Djamena. Chadian authorities denounced the attack and believe this incident marks a critical point following several tensions linked to the Sudanese conflict.
The head of state also ordered an immediate response to any further attack, whether it comes from the general's forces or the Rapid Support Forces.
Chad, already affected by the humanitarian consequences of the conflict in Sudan, affirms its desire to firmly defend its territorial integrity.
