Tera-meeting de Sonko, sortie d’Abdourahmane Diouf : L’avis tranché d'And Sam Diiné Ji
Tensions are rising ahead of the major Pastef rally scheduled for November 8. Party president Ousmane Sonko, who is also Prime Minister, has called on his supporters to mobilize nationwide. This initiative has been warmly welcomed by Serigne Modou Guèye, coordinator of the And Sam Diiné Ji platform.
"We welcome the initiative to hold a tera-meeting this Saturday, November 8. It will be a moment of strength for the presidential party, its allies, and supporters. We will call for a major mobilization to ensure this demonstration is a resounding success. Our activists and supporters will come from Touba, Diourbel, Koungheul, etc.," declared Serigne Modou Guèye.
Questioned on the recent statement by Environment Minister Abdourahmane Diouf, the political marabout did not mince his words: "Abdourahmane Diouf must keep his cool. Nothing explains his unfortunate statement. If he is driven by the ambition to sow discord between the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, and his Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko, whom he disenchants. He must shut up and hide for good," he declared.
In the same vein, Serigne Modou Guèye was particularly virulent towards the opposition, which he accuses of being "the shame of the century".
"This opposition is clueless and offers nothing that is in the country's interest. I ask the state to ban all marches. No one has the right to disrupt the social peace and stability of our dear country," he concluded.
